Christoph Hafemeister

Research Assistant

Christoph received his M.Sc. in bioinformatics from Freie Universität Berlin in 2008.

He is interested in machine learning, model development and comparison, clustering and clustering evaluation and graph algorithms. During his Masters studies he focused on courses like Pattern Recognition, Artificial Intelligence, and Visualization of Scientific Data, as well as Advanced Algorithms in Bioinformatics, Sequence and Structure Analysis, and Medical Image Processing.

Here in the Algorithmics Group at the Department of Computational Biology Christoph works on the General Hidden Markov Model (GHMM) library, the visualization and analyzation of gene expression patterns, and sequence analysis for the efficient computation of probe qualities for microarray design.
